Electric bike conversion
A friend gifted me a used Bafang in hub electric motor in 2021. I did the research and bought a 48V brushless motor controller, throttle, and 48V battery. I then wired all of these components together and attached them to a Mongoose mountain bike. This bike is now fully electric and can reach speeds up to 40mph. I use this bike daily to commute and have plans for future upgrades! This side project also sparked my interest in electric micro-mobility and inspired my expandable plywood electric bike.
Furniture
I took a furniture class at CMU in 2023 and our assignment was to make a table and chair. I designed a chair that is meant for fidgeting/active sitting and a table to organize vinyls and hold my turntable, both are cherry with maple dowels.
Cash Dispenser for Wheelchair
This project was intended to allow students to interview a client with a disability and then find an opportunity to improve their day-to-day life with a product. Our product allowed someone in a wheelchair to enter a price into a keypad, and then the correct amount of cash was dispensed as well as the expected change displayed on an OLED display.
